PLACES to SHOP: Mercado Municipal (Avda. Benito Juarez) is open daily, 7 a.m. to noon. This is a wonderful winding bazaar of fresh fruits, meats, and crafts. Casa Marina (21 Juan N. Alvarez). A mini-mall for "wildly colored" rugs at La Zapoteca; handwoven cotton clothes at El Embarcadero; folk-art at El Jumil;  silver jewelry (since 1978) at Alberto’s. Wander the streets of Zihua --- and especially the long Street of Aritisans (Av 5 de Mayo, across from Banditos Restaurant)
